Concert Photo Recap: Deerhunter, Times New Viking, and Disappears @ the Triple Rock Social Club
The date was November 17, 2008, and Deerhunter were in Minneapolis with their friends in Times New Viking and Disappears to play a blissful set at the Triple Rock. it was an awesome show, and deerhunter was definitely the best (even though the girl in the band was sick and couldn’t play). I’ve seen times new viking 3 times this year on accident (super furry animals, pitchfork, deerhunter) and honestly i’ve never enjoyed them. don’t get me wrong, i can see that they’re trying hard; but i find their songs to be pretty bland and boring.. and in my opinion they realllly aren’t that good at even playing their instruments (except for the guitarist), especially the keyboardist.
anyway, i’d love to go to a show with you in minneapolis and party for the night if you want to come up!! let me know if you see anything coming up and i’ll see what’s going on..
