Thanks to the homie Meka for posting this one. Here is the world premier for the Slaughterhouse video for “The One”, which was apparently supposed to premier tomorrow. Definitely a tight ass video, make sure you check it and keep your ear to the ground come August 11th because the Slaughterhouse album will be the shit.

Revival EPHere is the newest single from Royce Da 5’9″ off of his Revival EP, and it features the rest of the Slaughterhouse crew. The track is called “Warriors” and it’s just more of what you would expect from these guys. The beat is full of nice triumphant horns, and it is perfect for all four of these guys to kick the shit out of. The one thing that I can’t get over is how much all four of these guys truly bring to the microphone on every single track. Make sure you grab this one, it will not dissapoint.

Slaughterhouse Brings You “The One”

Slaughterhouse, The One

Man, these guys have put out 2 tracks that have just astonished me beyond belief. The wordplay that every one of these guys has is impeccable, and the production that we’ve heard has been top quality as well. DJ Khalil lays down a nice rock guitar infused beat that has Royce Da 5’9″, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz & Crooked I all spitting lava just like Kilauea. This album sounds like it is quickly shaping up to be a classic…

To be honest, I’m not really a big Wale fan. You can say all you want, but I’m not super impressed. I am, however, a huge 9th Wonder & LRG fan. I’m downloading this one as we speak, so I might have to give it a good listen tonight. According to the Hip Hop Official post, you can expect to hear Freeway, Talib Kweli, Joe Budden, Black Thought & Royce Da 5’9″ all spitting over 9th beats on this one (holy shit). Follow me after the jump for the Tracklisting and Download link. Continue reading

Slaughterhouse Throws it Back to “Woodstock”

Posted in Audio, Downloads with tags , , , , , on Friday, June 19, 2009 by Tim Althaus

slaughter-house Holy shit this track bangs on all cylinders. Joey was gracious enough to drop the first leak off of the album to the homie shake over at 2DopeBoyz. Royce Da 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I & Joe Budden murder shit on this track and the beat is hard as hell. M.O.P. is a long for the ride as well to spit the hook. All of you out there better be ready for this album because it’s going to be ridiculous. This album will probably have the most wordplay out of anything that you will hear this year (mark my words). If you sleep on this album there is truly no hope for you at all. Slaughterhouse album drops on August 11th.

Quotable of the song: Crooked I, “It’s time for some change like Obama in a laundromat”.

Slaughterhouse To Release Debut Album July 7th

Posted in Music News with tags , , , , , , on Thursday, May 28, 2009 by Tim Althaus

slaughterhouse-missinfo It looks as though the most rhyme potent supergroup is going to be dropping their debut album on July 7th. Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, Royce Da 5’9″ & Joe Budden, also known as Slaughterhouse, are going to be putting out a full length album. According to the Hip Hop DX article I read, they wrote the album in six days. The production will be handled by Alchemist, DJ Khalil & Mr. Porter which means you are going to hear some sick beats at the very least.

I can assure you that this album is going to be well worth the hard earned money you work for. On a seperate tip, this might be one of the most lyrically enhanced albums you will hear for a long time. This is one album I am highly looking forward to, if you love Hip-Hop you should be to.

Royce Da 5’9″ talks Street Hop, Padded Room & DJ Premier

Posted in Video with tags , , , , , on Monday, March 16, 2009 by Tim Althaus

As many of you know, Royce Da 5’9″ has a new album entitled Street Hop that is due out very soon. Culture Six had the chance to sit down with Royce and pick his brain a little bit. Royce talks on a variety of issues such as where he is at right now with the underground and radio music, Where things are at with Slaughterhouse right now and his good friend and group mate Joe Budden. Royce also talks a little bit about the legendary DJ Premier and what it’s been like to be able to work with him. Each video and promo that I see makes me want to hear Royce’s new album because it sounds like it might be a classic. Make sure you check out the interview and stay tuned to more info on Street Hop and anything Slaughterhouse.

Slaughterhouse brings you to the “Fight Club”

Posted in Downloads, Media with tags , , , , , , on Thursday, March 5, 2009 by Tim Althaus

slaughterhouse If you haven’t heard by now, Slaughterhouse is the newest Hip-Hop super group out there. It is composed of Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Crooked I (of Circle of Bosses), and Royce Da 5’9″. These guys come together and unite like Megatron. I have to say this is one hell of a track, I haven’t heard much of anybody in the group lately except for Royce. I can’t wait until these guys release a proper full length because it sounds like they are going to destroy the game. eMC did the same thing and they put out one of the best albums of last year.

All of the guys that are in this group are going to be dropping albums in the year of 2009. Make sure you go out and get that solo material as well (Joe Budden’s album Padded Room is already out). You can also catch these guys at Paid Dues which, as always, looks to be a festival that is sure to please.

Download “Fight Club” here.
