Wild Style Wednesday Review: El-P, Fantastic Damage

fantastic_damage_frontIt’s very easy for me to say that El-P has re-invented the wheel twice in the Hip-Hop game. The first time he did it was with Fantastic Damage (One of the best debuts ever?), and without a question he did it again on I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead. Don’t get me wrong, I love both albums as much as you possibly could, I just think Fantastic Damage has a slight edge on ISWYD. The dark, hard hitting, brain hemorrhaging beats on this album are some of the most crazy concoctions my ear drums have ever had the pleasure of discovering. To me it’s no wonder that people were waiting for I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead with such anticipation… they new it was going to be a classic because of Fantastic Damage. Continue reading →

The Step Brothers Ring In On Health Care

Here is another interview with Alchemist & Evidence talking to Jabari. This time they sound off on the health care in the United States, and how important it is to them. As you can imagine, these guys both feel that it is very important and it’s something that everyone should have. Evidence ends up getting pretty deep with it, and I love when he goes to AL to say something funny, shit’s priceless.

Brother Ali launches new website

Today, Brother Ali and Rhymesayers Entertainment launched Brother Ali’s brand new website www.brotherali.com to help promote the September 22nd release Us. The site has all the usual stuff plus a place where you can leave personal stories for Ali to read and connect with the fans (of course with a few ground rules to prevent the rowdy interneters).

Paul Rodriguez Gives In Depth Insight Into the Zoom P-Rod 3

If you are a sneaker head like I am, you’ve been waiting for this one for quite some time. I am probably the biggest fan of the Zoom P-Rod 2, I think I’ve owned at least 7-8 different color schemes. The design and comfort of the Zoom P-Rod 2 is damn near un-matched. I’ve been hearing about the Zoom P-Rod 3 for a little over a year now, and I’ve been very antsy to get a look at the new shoe. This video features Paul Rodriguez talking about his new shoe at his store Primitive in L.A. He definitely gives some great background on the shoe, and even delves into why he decided to discontinue the P-Rod 2. Make sure you check this one out, I can’t wait to get my pair.
