In this part of the interview Pharoahe talks about coming up with Organized Konfusion, and his early days with Prince Po. He also talks about styles of his that other emcees have interpreted and used in their own way.

In the second part of the video Monch talks about how he actually wishes he would have dropped something in between Internal Affairs & Desire (8 years). He also discusses what he would consider to be his five favorite emcees (at this point in time). He also talks about why the borough of Queens produces so many great emcees and why he feels Barack Obama is the right man for the job.

Both of these parts are very in depth and are a must watch for any Pharoahe Monch fan.

I was really dissapointed when I initially heard that this track was going to be an iTunes bonus. I had gotten the deluxe (2 cd edition) of White Van Music (on Rhymesayers Entertainment) and listened to the shit out of it (I loved it). I then heard that there was a track floating around with Pharoahe Monch on it and I wanted to have it. Okayplayer made a post about it yesterday and I had to have a listen. Pharoahe and Kardinal Offishall pass this track like desert, taking a huge bite whenever it’s their turn to devour the mic. If you like vicious, fast paced rhymes then you will love this track. Also notice the guitar loop Jake has going on in the background, that shit’s sick…

Video: Black Milk & Pharoahe Monch, Live in New York

Well the CMJ festival just ended recently and Detroit phenom Black Milk gave a performance of his single “The Matrix” with Pharoahe Monch (Sean Price isn’t in the performance). Pharoahe also does a performance of the track “Let’s Go” that was produced by Black on Pharoahe’s album Desire that came out in 2007. Black Milk just released Tronic on October 28th and is getting the attention of critics all over the place. Based on this video it looks as if Black can put on one hell of a show, and as usual Pharoahe looks like he’s lights out when he’s live as well.

All of you that are reading this I strongly urge you to go out and get Tronic on Fat Beats records. The album is super hot and you will not be disappointed. Also make sure you jump over and grab the free mix tape that Black put out before Tronic called Elec here.
