Finally! Some footage of the concert! I’ve been posting a lot about this lately (I apologize for those that don’t care) but I still can’t get over how good the Cool Kids / Camp Lo / F. So last night, I had the pleasure of attending the Cool Kids show in NYC last night at SOBs. The show was EXCELLENT. Easily one of the best hip hop shows I’ve been too. Soo much fun. The Cool Kids absolutely DESTROYED the venue and are awesome guys. I got to meet a bunch of people after the show. Great times all around with some nice surprises including Nice and Smooth and Paper Tiger of Doomtree. Follow me after the jump for some more photos and details.

On Tuesday, Blue Scholars released the much awaited OOF! EP. The sound is different from what we’re used to, but it’s a pretty cool concept, with Hawaiian themed beats and lyrics. I still haven’t totally decided whether I like the EP or not yet, I’m trying to let it grow on me a bit. However, above you can stream the whole album here and decide for yourself!
Visit iTunes or the Blue Scholars’ store to purchase OOF! EP. Currently it is the #2 Hip Hop Album on the iTunes charts.

Brother Ali launches new website

About a week ago my sister came back from Spain and introduced me to David Guetta, who apparently is all over the clubs in Europe. If you’re into some fun Electronic/House/etc, it’s pretty good. I can’t believe I’m gonna say this but the track with Akon is great (“Sexy Bitch”). Today on Okayplayer I saw a post with a download for the track “Memories” featuring Kid Cudi. On Tuesday, Guetta’s album One Love comes out in the US.

Swollen Members – Armed to the Teeth

Swollen Members announced their new album entitled Armed to the Teeth due out October 13th. The album will feature guest spots from Talib Kweli, Tech N9ne, and La Coka Nostra. Here are two free tracks, neither of which I am too crazy about. The chorus on “Warrior” is quite annoying. I was really pleased with their last effort, Black Magic so hopefully the whole LP will not disappoint.
