I have to apologize for my posting (or lack there of) for the last couple days. School has hit full force, and I just don’t have as much time as I usually do. 2DopeBoyz posted the second leak off of KP’s upcoming album Elizabeth, “Murdah Murdah at Dawn”, the other day and I didn’t get a chance to post it right away. Priest is one of the best emcees in the game and I am really looking forward to hearing the new heat that he’s going to bring. Be sure to grab Elizabeth when you are out picking up Street Hop on October 20th.

Thank you Shake. That’s right, Killah Priest is dropping his official follow-up to Behind the Stained Glass on October 20th. The album is entitled Elizabeth (Introduction To The Psychie), and “The 7 Crowns of God” is the first leak off of the album. The track goes hard as hell, and it reminds me of that classic Killah Priest that I know and love. If you’ve never heard Priest, you should truly be ashamed, definitely one of the best out there. This track highlights Priest’s story telling capabilities perfectly, you shouldn’t sleep on this.

Wild Style Wednesday Review: GZA, Liquid Swords

GZA-LiquidSwordsWu-Tang Clan is one of the most influential groups in the history of Hip-Hop music. GZA (in my opinion) is the best emcee (although they are all incredible) in the group, so it would make sense to say that he is one of the most influential emcees of all-time. The album Liquid Swords is nothing short of a lauded lyrical masterpiece, and every single track on this album is sonically sound. Not only is this one of the greatest Wu-Tang related albums ever released, it is one of the greatest albums in Hip-Hop history. RZA’s production on this album is ridiculous, not to mention the samples on this album fit the tracks tighter than a hipster’s t-shirt, and GZA’s rhymes are legendary in every aspect of the word.
