Here is some more amazing footage of DJ Day & Exile showing off their masterful MPC work in Belgium from the Dour Festival. As I’ve stated numerous times before, these guys are some of the best in the business at what they do. My question is, why can’t they come to Minneapolis?

The duo behind Fashawn’s upcoming debut Boy Meets World is the Hip Hop Official artist of the week. I can’t wait for this LP to come out, it’s been driving me crazy waiting for it. Watch this video to hear Fashawn talk about the chemistry that these two have, and perform a couple cuts.

There aren’t many up and coming emcees that have the hype that Fashawn has garnered for himself. He’s already got Evidence & Alchemist backing him like crazy, not to mention that he has a full length album coming out that is produced entirely by Exile. Needless to say, if you have had your ear to the ground for the the last year or so, you should know about Fash by now… I read an article on HipHopDX about this guy, and he seems like he is one hell of a worker when it comes to doing his thing.
Fashawn’s aforementioned debut album with Exile, Boy Meets World, is going to be pushed back to October because of personal issues that he has to tend to. According to the article, the fans can expect a lot of 90’s influence on this album from the likes of Common, Nas & Gang Starr. One can say that there may be great deal of nostalgia attached to this album.
All of you heads out there need not worry. Fashawn will be releasing a mixtape with Alchemist which will be coming soon. This is what Fash had to say about working with ALC, “Hanging around Alchemist all day, you know I’m hearing the best beats you can possibly imagine and I’m writing the craziest shit you can possibly imagine”.
It sounds like we can expect some bright things from Fashawn in the future, this guy seems to be the future of West Coast Hip-Hop right along the side of emcee Blu & Evidence. Make sure you stay tuned, I will have my eye open for any news that pertains to this guy.

Every single time I see one of these videos I’m more astonished than the time before. Exile & DJ Day have been doing their thing with MPCs for a while now, and 2DopeBoyz had some video footage over on their page. What these guys do is utterly amazing and I would give almost anything to see them do their thing live. Make sure you go out and get Exile’s Radio now. Everything that Fashawn has been putting out lately is making me fiend for Boy Meets World very badly. This is the video for the single “Sunny California” which will most definitely be on Boy Meets World. All of the beats that I’ve heard from Exile on this album are top notch, and Fashawn’s hype has been hotter than the sun as of late. I can guarantee that these two are gonna hook up for one of the albums of the year. September can’t come soon enough.

If you’ve never seen these two minipulate an MPC live you are truly missing out. I posted a video a while back of these two playing MPCs on a live act that they were doing on tour. This is a video of Exile & DJ Day practicing their tribute to Michael Jackson in their hotel room the day after he passed. It’s amazing how well these guys have mastered the MPC, and to be honest they are probably some of the best in the game. Notice at the end (after putting down 2 straight minutes of beauty) they say that it’s a work in progress. I can tell you now that I can’t wait to see the final product.
Fashawn is another one of those cats that I can’t get enough of. He has been killing shit on the left coast all over the place lately, and now he drops this gem produced by Exile (as well as the rest of the album). This track will be on his debut LP Boy Meets World which comes out on September 1st. Exile’s production on this track is superior, and Fashawn spits some incredible bars. The thing I love about Fashawn is that his lyrics paint a picture like Monet, at the same time those same lyrics can tell a story like Hemmingway. In this track his remniscent recollection of his childhood is impeccable, and shouldn’t be slept on by anyone.

This is another track that is making me very antsy. This track, “The Outer City”, is Fashawn‘s latest leak off of his Exile produced album Boy Meets World (god I loved that show). I have a feeling that this album is going to be nothing short of amazing because Fash is really tearing things up, and Exile’s production is awesome. This track follows a great narrative by Fashawn as he describes the struggles of living in the outer city and working 10 hour days. This is a great dedication to the average blue collar worker and shouldn’t be missed. Watch out for Fashawn, he’s going to be doing some major things. Make sure you check out Boy Meets World when it comes out in August.

Here’s a good one for you guys on 4/20. Here’s a video of Evidence taking a handstand after smoking a bong. It looks like these guys are having a good time in the studio. I sure hope we get to hear the product of this studio session.
Here is another track off of EV’s upcoming project Evidence Radio. This track just so happens to be over my favorite beat on Exile’s album Radio. At this point, I’m thinking that there isn’t anything that Evidence can’t do. Make sure you check out this dope ass track and stay tuned to more news on the Evidence Radio project because you know I’m patiently (or rather impatiently) waiting for it. This project is going to be nothing short of incredible guys, mark my words. This is just more great music from the “Left Coast” for you to bob your head to.
