Here is some footage of Raekwon performing at the legendary venue, S.O.B.’s, in New York. If you haven’t gotten the Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 album yet, I feel bad for you.

Wu-Tang has been one of the greatest dynasties that Hip-Hop has ever seen. Just about every group album has been stellar, not to mention that every solo album is top notch quality. Raekwon comes into Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 fourteen years after the original Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, which, to this day is a classic. The aforementioned information may pose the question: Is Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 as good as the original? The answer, in my opinion, is a definite yes. I took one run through this album in my car, and I knew immediately I was listening to a classic . Raekwon brings along an all-star cast of producers and emcees to “cook up”, without a doubt, one of the best albums of 2009. Creating a magnificent masterpiece that is just as good as it’s predecessor is no easy task, but as OB4CL2 shows, for The Chef it comes naturally. Continue reading

I’ve been trying to work on the review for OB4CL2 like crazy, but I don’t think it’s going to be ready until tomorrow due to school work. You may recall that I posted this track yesterday, and thanks to Hip Hop Official we have the official video for “Walk With Me” today. Talk about the definition of yet another dope video from The Chef, he’s killing it on the music video tip. Make sure you go out and cop Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2, it’s that real shit that you’ve been craving for quite some time.
Can you feel the hype surrounding you? Thanks to Shake, we have the UK bonus track as well as the iTunes bonus track off of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2. The first track is entitled “The Badlands”, which gets torn apart, and it features Tony Starks (Ghost). The second track is called “Walk With Me” and it’s produced by Scram Jones. It looks like tomorrow is going to be a great day.

Tomorrow is the day that Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 drops, are you ready? I will be purchasing the album on my break in between classes tomorrow morning, and I will be bumping it for the rest of the day repeatedly. Hip Hop Official had the chance to sit down with The Chef and talk about all of the blood sweat and tears that went into OB4CL2. Rae talks about a lot of the things that hindered his ability to make this album, and why it has taken so long. Much like Ghost said in one of my previous posts, The Wu isn’t broken up, they are just in a lot of different pieces right now. The Chef also discusses that he made Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 for the people, because that’s what they wanted. He also mentions that more artists should be doing what the fans want (co-sign).

Are you sick of hearing about Raekwon and his new album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2? I didn’t think so. This is a really good interview with The Chef where he skews a bunch of different topics. He talks about how the new Cuban Linx is going to be different than the last one, his thoughts on Larry Davis and how he was killed and some insane shit that you might not have expected to hear about Biggie. I highly suggest you check out this video, there are a lot of really good topics covered in this one. Make sure you go out and get Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 on September 8th.

Up above (as you can see) is a video interview with The Chef himself. He stopped by the Grand Hustle Studios in Atlanta, Georgia to do an interview with astheworldspins.com. In the interview he talks about what he’s been up to lately with the release of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 coming up, the new generation and why he’s been in the game so long, working with Dr. Dre & more. Make sure you peep the interview, it’s good. You can follow me after the jump for the “Catalina” track. (P.S. it’s clean) We now have the clean version!

Yet another banger from J Dilla off of the Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 album, which I may remind you drops on September 8th. You may recall that the beat on this track was on the re-release of Jaylib, Champion Sound on the track “The Red”. I remember when I heard the beat initially (on the Jaylib album) and was kind of disappointed that Madlib had changed it. Either way you look at it, the beat does knock like crazy and these guys are dope as hell over it. Cappadonna’s verse is a little below average compared to Ghost Deini and The Chef, but it’s still a dope ass track.
