Here is Joey’s vlog about all of the madness that ensued at Rock the Bells. Based on this video, I think that things could end up getting really fucking interesting. These guys are just taking this shit way too far.
On a brighter note you can download the track “We Outta Here” (which features Slaughterhouse) off of Joe’s album Escape Routehere.
Here is the new artwork from Joe’s new digital only release Escape Route. As you can see he is following a series from the album Padded Room & Halfway House, and all of this work will accumulate to his album The Great Escape. Escape Route will be dropping tomorrow on Amalgam Digital, which is coincidentally the same day as the Slaughterhouse release. You will hear Wale, Slaughterhouse & Young Chris on the guest verse aspect. When it comes to production you will hear 9th Wonder, J. Cardim, Chad West & Streetrunner. I sure hope all of you are going out to make well merited purchases tomorrow. Follow me after the jump for the tracklisting. Continue reading →
I cannot believe we are still talking about this, but apparently some rappers’ egos are just to large. Just when we thought the Joe Budden / Wu Tang beef was subsiding, there was apparently a backstage altercation yesterday in Los Angeles. That’s just fanastic. I hate when professional musicians cannot act professional. This bout is childish to say the least. Rock the Bells is supposed to be an event where hip hop’s greats can come together to create a great day of music.
The video above is from Budden’s live stream after he was punched in the eye by someone in Ice Water, Raekwon’s posse. Afterwards, according to HipHopDX, police officials reportedly closed the backstage and the concert performances were cut short. Crooked I apparently went with his posse, Circle of Bosses, to find the assailants and had this to say, “Ain’t nobody gonna disrespect one of my dudes when we on the west coast.“
I really wish that this sort of stuff didn’t happen. It doesn’t benefit anyone.
Damn, I don’t really have a whole lot to say. If you pirated this album, you should be shanked with a thousand microphones repeatedly until your death. Here are two new tracks from the Slaughterhouse conglomerate courtesy of 2DopeBoyz. These tracks both go harder than concrete, and I can assure you that I will be at the store on August 11th during my break to pick this one up. The first track below is “Microphone” which is produced by Alchemist, whom you all know never disappoints. The second joint is produced by Emile and it’s called “Onslaught 2” and Emile’s horns paint a beautiful backdrop for these Royce, Joell, Joe & Crooked to massacre. Don’t fucking sleep.

This is another one that dropped on the weekend that I didn’t get to. Joe Budden will be dropping his digital only EP next Tuesday on AmalgamDigital. This is different than the Slaughterhouse snippets, seeing as it’s recorded on Joe Budden TV and it features some live commentary and what not. You should still be able to get a pretty good idea of what Joey has in store for us.

Here is a new track from the straight jacket phenom, Joe Budden. If you didn’t peep the Padded Room review please make sure you do that, it’s a great album. This joint is called “No Comment”, and if you really listen to this track you can tell that it’s aimed at someone. Joey is one of those cats that spits some potent ass bars just about every time he manhandles the microphone. The only thing that this track makes me think, is that some serious shit might go down…
Yes, the above picture is the official artwork for the new album dropping August 11th. Here is the newest cut off the album, “Cuckoo”, which is produced by the one and only DJ Khalil. This is yet another strong track by Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, Royce Da 5’9″ & Joe Budden. These guys got me really wanting to hear that debut album like crazy. On every track that I’ve heard by these guys they come together to form like Optimus Prime, they just destroy tracks like bar brawls.

I remember being in tenth grade when Joe Budden’s first single “Pump it Up” came out. To be 100% honest, I didn’t care for it at all. After that track, it almost seemed like Joe fell flat off the face of the earth. From what I’ve gathered, Joe has released some mixtapes in the interim but nothing really serious… until Padded Room. It took me a while to even give this CD a complete listen because I had no idea what it was going to be like. Once I did start listening I just couldn’t get a grasp right away of how to feel. Joe has a line in the first track on the album “Now I Lay” that sums up the aforementioned statement perfectly, “It’d take you a long time to evaluate me”. It literally took me about 20 listens to get a good feel for this album, but my general consensus is that this album is damn good. Continue reading →
After Joe Budden dissed Method Man’s lyrical abilities, Inspectah Deck released a song in retaliation and here at Rock the Bells ’09 in DC, Deck and Raekwon talk about their beef with Joe Budden. Personally, I don’t think this is the way to handle the problem, complaining about him on stage after quesitoning Budden’s “manliness” for not confronting them in person. After the stage performance, Raekwon sits down with undergroundhiphop.com to discuss the beef.
Are you jumping on the Slaughterhouse hype like I am? Well if you are, you certainly do not want to miss this video. Thanks to the guys over at 2DopeBoyz we have over 15 minutes of Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5’9″, Joe Budden & Crooked I tearing apart the stage at this year’s Rock The Bells in DC. After watching a video like this and hearing the tracks they’ve been putting out, I can’t wait to hear the album. If you sleep on this one you should be done for.
