Found this one on Always Hustle. Chali2na performing the song “Comin’ Thru” off his new album Fish Outta Water at the Highline Ballroom in NYC on 7/13. This is my favorite track on the LP.

Cymarshall Law Tells the Story of a “King With 4 Wives”

I can’t even believe I forgot about this one. I saw this video at 2DopeBoyz a while back and totally planned on posting it. This dope ass video is for the track “King With 4 Wives”, and it’s from Cymarshall Law & Mr. Joeker’s album Hip-Hop In The Soul. As I mentioned in the Hip-Hop In The Soul review, these guys are one hell of a duo. The video concept for this track is great, and it plays out just the way you would expect with Cy’s storytelling abilities. Definitely a great video worth checking out.

This time around they perform the track “We Gotcha” which will be on the new Crown Royale album. Don’t sleep, you will regret it.

DJ Jazzy Jeff Tears Apart The Wheels of Steel
Posted in Media, Video with tags "Peter Piper", DJ AM, DJ Jazzy Jeff, House of Blues, Run DMC on Monday, July 20, 2009 by Tim Althaus Vodpod videos no longer available.
For those of you who sleep on DJ Jazzy Jeff, I truly feel sorry for you. He is your favorite DJ’s favorite DJ. The man is easily one of the best to ever do his thing on the turntables. Here is some great footage of Jeff tearing shit up at The House of Blues with DJ AM. Notice Jeff doing his thing the whole video, then at 1:10 DJ AM gives Jeff the floor and he just starts tearing the shit out of Run DMC’s “Peter Piper”. If you are a fan of turntablism or Hip-Hop at all, you shouldn’t miss this video.
Evidence x Peter Parker x Rhymesayers Entertainment
Posted in Media, Video with tags Evidence, Mr. Peter Parker, Rhymesayers Entertainment, The LAyover EP, The Weatherman LP on Monday, July 20, 2009 by Tim AlthausMr. Peter Parker took a moment with Evidence at Rock the Bells to talk about his newly inked deal with Rhymesayers Entertainment. EV also talks about his last few efforts (The Weatherman LP, The LAyover EP), what he feels like moving to Rhymesayers, why he wanted to go there & a lot more. This is still a subject that I am completely in awe over, might be one of the best moves I’ve ever heard of. I might be a little biased, because as you all know I’m a huge fucking Evidence fan. Like Evidence says on the video, RSE is one hell of a family when it comes to music, and to be honest I think he can only help strengthen that family. You best believe I’m on the hunt for those pre-sale tickets people.
KiD CuDi – Make Her Say (feat. Kanye West & Common) Video
Posted in Media, News, Video with tags Common, G.O.O.D. Music, Kanye, Kanye West, Kid Cudi on Monday, July 20, 2009 by Nolan LevensonVodpod videos no longer available.
This song has been flying around the internet for months and finally has a real video. If you haven’t heard it, it’s called “Make Her Say” by Kid Cudi and features fellow G.O.O.D. music members Kanye and Common (Kanye’s verse is killer!). The song samples Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” chopped up to make it sound like “Poke Her Face”. It’s fantastic. This is the official video. Look out for Kid Cudi’s September 15th release Man on the Moon.
Shout out to 2dopeboyz for the find.
Adam Yauch (MCA) Makes A Serious Announcement
Posted in Audio, Downloads, Video with tags Adam Yauch, Cancer, MCA, The Beastie Boys on Monday, July 20, 2009 by Tim AlthausMCA has made the announcement that the doctors have found cancerous cells in his lymph node area. I can’t tell you how devastated I was (and still am) when I heard this. The Beastie Boys have been one of the most pivotal groups in Hip-Hop since the beginning, and in my opinion they will continue to be. It’s unfortunate for all of the fans out there that had tickets to their upcoming shows, but MCA needs all of your prayers at this time to make it to a speedy recovery. Just let it be known that the people at Mind Inversion are sending out our prayers to MCA and The Beastie Boys.

Royce Claims “The Wu-Tang/Slaughterhouse Beef is Over”…
Posted in Media, Video with tags Rock the Bells, Slaughterhouse, Wu-Tang Clan on Monday, July 20, 2009 by Tim AlthausThis whole beef has been going on for awhile now, and it has honestly kept me on the edge of my seat. My man Nolan posted the video with Raekwon last week, and now I found this video over at 2DopeBoyz of Royce saying the beef is over at Rock The Bells. Not only does Royce say the beef is over, but he speaks the truth as he gives Wu-Tang props and calls them legends. It’s good to see that the beef was able to be squashed because there is just no need for that shit in Hip-Hop (although it does sell records).
Behind The Scenes On The “Under Siege” Video Shoot
Posted in Media, Video with tags Alchemist, Behind The Scenes, Evidence, Gangrene, Oh No, Scott Cann, under siege on Monday, July 20, 2009 by Tim AlthausMan this one had my ass rolling on the floor the whole time. This is some great behind the scenes footage from the Alchemist & Oh No (Gangrene) video “Under Siege”. It seems like all these cats do is clown around and smoke good weed (nothing wrong with that). You will see some guest appearences by Evidence and Scott Cann.
